Facing more or less east, we get the most magnificent sunrises across the Purbeck Hills and the sea. Sunsets are often pink with the light reflected from the west and we also see the moon rise over the sea or hills to the north east, deoending on time of year.
There are two seals that we see quite often in the sea right outside The Seaspray - and from the sea view windows. The larger one seems to like human company and sometimes plays with early morning swimmers. They come out of the water from time to time in the little cove created by the rock groyne a few minutes walk on the Esplanade, towards Bowleaze.
My name is Tim O'Hare and I am the owner of this lovely B&B. The Seaspray is a small, friendly, family run B&B
guesthouse, with wonderful views from most rooms out across Weymouth Bay. It
was originally a late Georgian, bow windowed, terraced house, reputedly built for the officers of the
Weymouth garrison.
We have a high approval rating of 9.3 on Booking.com and were awarded the 2020 RECOGNITION OF EXCELLENCE by the Hotels Combined website - both based on our excellent guest reviews.
Breakfast
You start the day with an excellent, varied breakfast, with a wide range of fruit, cereals, toast and yoghurt offered, followed by a classic "full English" breakfast or variations on that theme. The dining room looks out across Weymouth Bay.
The Area
Brunswick Terrace is virtually on the beach, with just the short cul-de-sac outside to cross, so excellent for families and children.
We are at the more peaceful end of Weymouth Bay, but is less that 10 minutes' walk into the centre of town and the more "active" seaside town attractions.
The rooms are comfortable and en-suite (only room 6, the small double or single sea view room has a private external bathroom). All have comfortable beds, free wifi, TV/DVD, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, clothes hanging and drawer space. We have one family room (sleeping 3 or 4) and four double rooms. Most rooms have a direct sea view, but the standard double rooms do not face the sea.
Our 5 guest rooms are as follows : -
Room 3 : a larger standard ensuite double room, with larger bathroom and seating area with chairs and table.
Room 4 : a standard ensuite double room.
Room 5 : a sea view ensuite double room.
Room 6 : a sea view small double/single room, with separate private bathroom.
Room 7 : a sea view ensuite family room, with a double and a single bed, table and chairs. An additional single bed for an extra child is possible.
All of our rooms have comfortable beds, free wifi, a flat screen TV with remote, a kettle, complimentary tea and coffee, a fridge with water and milk for your drinks, clothes drawer and hanging space and one or two chairs. There are hand towels and bath towels, but you need to bring your own beach towels.
We usually take the cost of your first night's stay as a confirming deposit when you book - the balance is payable on arrival. We will contact you regarding credit card details etc.
Cancellation.
The first night's confirming deposit is non-returnable. A booking can be cancelled without other charge up to 5 days before your arrival date. If a booking is cancelled less than 5 days from arrival date, the whole booking fee is due. However, if we manage to sell the nights which have been cancelled at short notice, then you will not be charged for the nights that have been re-sold.
